@crispr_cas96 Now, let me introduce myself 🙈...
5 years ago I was finishing my last year at a high school in Barcelona, Spain (where I was born and raised all my pre-18 life). So, I had to decide what to do next right? Which some people have it super clear right? Well I didn’t 😂🤷🏻♀️
I knew I wanted to dedicate to science. So I started researching, ironically 😂 I’ve always enjoyed the idea of lab research. Not only the experiments part, which I loved since I was little, but the answering unknown questions part as well. And so I found a new degree I never heard about before: BIOMEDICAL SCIENCES. Boom. Done. I read about it and knew it was made for me (or maybe I was made for it?). Don’t ask me, no idea why. Pure intuition I guess ✨ so I listened to my intuition and went straightforward to make the decision.
After 4 years of learning A LOT and undertaking a 1-year professional placement at the US, I graduated with an UG degree in Biomedical Sciences in Surrey, England.
And then from there, I went straight to starting a position as a research technician in London. I wanted to gain more professional experience, which I think is super important at least for lab research. It was not an easy jump or process, but it was definitely so much worth it. I am honestly very proud about all I have taken and absorbed and grown from it.
Now, here I am, looking forward to my next step up: a masters degree in Molecular Medicine.
We humans are super curious in nature, and it’s one of our best gifts. So why not make the best out of it? Even if it’s rough, we can always seek to find the path towards our passions. And then everything will come your way. Hopefully💫
